Welcome back to the Dornford Building Group blog, we’re so excited to share our journey with you!

June and July filled the DBG family with excitement as we worked on personal projects during the lockdown, kept working on bathroom renovations, extensions, and pergola projects.

As I'm sure you all know, South Australia completed a 7-day full lockdown in response to a growing number of Covid-19 cases. Unfortunately, the building industry wasn't considered an essential service this time. The chief executive of Master Builders SA has said, "the seven-day shutdown would be equivalent to two to three weeks lost production."

While this would be tragic, the DBG team took the seven-day lockdown to work on their home renovation projects. Jake Dornford himself worked on transforming his living room to include a premium built-in fireplace, shelving unit, cupboards, and a bench seat with hidden storage.

As soon as the lockdown was officially over, we were back at projects for our clients, making sure to complete them as close to the promised time as possible. We have finished building a pergola for a local school, renovated a laundry, and are starting to lay groundwork on a few of our new home builds!
